6 tips for organising your laundry room


Washing and ironing in every day life can be unpleasant. Still, a better organisation of your laundry room can make it less stressful. Discover some useful tips that help you keep up with your household duties.

Too dry is not too good

De flesta moderna tvättmaskiner och torktumlare har ett skrynkelskydd. Det fungerar på ett rent mekaniskt sätt: efter att tvätt- eller torkprogrammet är avslutat fortsätter trumman med periodiska rörelser. Kläderna vilar inte i samma position utan flyttas från gång till gång, vilket förhindrar att veck och skrynklor bildas. Detta är användbart när du inte kan vara närvarande för att ta ut kläderna omedelbart. Antalet skjortor som ska strykas förblir detsamma, men det blir mycket lättare att ta an.
Om du använder torktumlare eller torkställning - kom ihåg att fukt behövs för ett perfekt strykresultat. Ja, ditt ångstrykjärn använder ånga för att hjälpa dig att få jobbet gjort, men det är en fördel om du inte har knastertorra kläder till att börja med. …how to stretch shrunk textiles?

No need to worry if your jumper has shrunk in the wash. Try this: first soak the textile in water with conditioner for about half an hour, then put it on a towel. Stretch out carefully to its original size and let dry. The process can be repeated, if the clothing does not come back to its original shape after the first try. This trick works well for knitwear made from wool, cotton or cashmere.
