Good design is long-lasting.

That’s a belief we’ve built our brand on since the 70s. No matter how close you look, you’ll see it in every single detail.

Helping homes across the world have less of an impact on the world.

While good design might be long-lasting, not everything in this world shares that trait. Waste has become a part of our every day. Because right now, waste is easy. If the equipment falters or the food looks less than perfect, discarding and buying new feels like the easiest step. When obsolescence is part of everyday design, it becomes a part of everyday life, too. We know the decisions made every day in every single home have the power to change the world.

That’s why at Braun, we’re making the decisions easier for you.

80% of a product’s environmental impact is determined at the design stage

That’s why it is important to have a systemic approach to product development following our new Group Eco-Design Guidelines, a manual developed in cooperation with experts of Politecnico di Milano that set the basis of strategic knowledge of a new - generation of eco-efficient appliances. As a step forward 70% of our newly developed products will be covered by this Eco-Design Guideline from 2023 on.

We believe that good design can make lives better.

Back in the 70s Dieter Rams developed Braun’s memorable design language and defined 10 principles of good design that are still relevant today. While these principles have been a part of our DNA from the start, we’re always looking to the future.

Good Design is environmentally friendly.

We aim to use as little resources as possible and work on increasing the usage of materials in our products that are either recycled, recyclable, or both.

Moving forward, we are working on having at least 30%* of recycled plastic over the total plastic used in newly developed/upcoming products as of 2027 according to our commitment regarding material recycling.

Moreover, we have already saved more than 100 tons of paper through the partial digitalisation of our user instruction manuals for products globally sold in 2022. Also, there was no EPS (Synthesized Expanded Polystyrene) in the packaging of 53% of the Braun products sold in 2022.

Πριν από 55 χρόνια, μου έκαναν δώρο τρεις συσκευές της Braun, όταν γεννήθηκε η κόρη μου, ένα μίξερ, έναν αποχυμωτή και μια πρέσα φρούτων. Χρησιμοποιώ και τις τρεις συσκευές σχεδόν κάθε μέρα από το 1960. Έτσι θα ήθελα να σας ευχαριστήσω για την τέλεια ποιότητα και όλα τα χρόνια χρήσης χωρίς επισκευές.

I 1998 kjøpte vi en Braun Combimax 700 foodprosessor. Min kone liker å lage mat som hobby, så den ble brukt nesten hver dag, ofte i mer enn 2 eller 3 timer - med pauser selvfølgelig. Etter omtrent 10 år spurte vi oss selv hvor mye lenger den kunne vare. I 2008 kjøpte vi en ny foodprosessor, også en Braun Combimax 700 selfølgelig, for å være forberedt når det orginale sluttet å virke, men den fortsatte å virke perfekt. Så, 25. september 2014 ga den endelig opp, etter 16 og et havlt år (!!)! Totalt: 198 måneder x 25 dager.
