Good design is long-lasting.

That’s a belief we’ve built our brand on since the 70s. No matter how close you look, you’ll see it in every single detail.

Helping homes across the world have less of an impact on the world.

While good design might be long-lasting, not everything in this world shares that trait. Waste has become a part of our every day. Because right now, waste is easy. If the equipment falters or the food looks less than perfect, discarding and buying new feels like the easiest step. When obsolescence is part of everyday design, it becomes a part of everyday life, too. We know the decisions made every day in every single home have the power to change the world.

That’s why at Braun, we’re making the decisions easier for you.

80% of a product’s environmental impact is determined at the design stage

That’s why it is important to have a systemic approach to product development following our new Group Eco-Design Guidelines, a manual developed in cooperation with experts of Politecnico di Milano that set the basis of strategic knowledge of a new - generation of eco-efficient appliances. As a step forward 70% of our newly developed products will be covered by this Eco-Design Guideline from 2023 on.

Vi tror på at godt design kan gjøre liv bedre.

På 70-tallet utviklet Dieter Rams Braun's minneverdige designspråk og definerte 10 prinsipper for godt design, som fortsatt er relevante i dag. Selv om disse prinsippene har vært en del av vårt DNA fra starten, ser vi alltid fremover.

Godt deisgn er miljøvennlig.

Vi har som mål å bruke så lite ressurser som mulig og øke bruken av materialer i våre produkter, som enten er resirkulert, resirkulerbare eller begge deler. Fremover jobber vi med å ha minst 30% resirkulert plass av den totale mengden plast brukt i våre nyutviklede produkter innen 2027 i henhold til vårt engasjement for materialgjennvinning. I tillegg har vi allerede spart mer enn 100 tonn papir gjennom delvis digitalisering av våre bruksanvisninger for produkter solgt globalt i 2022. Det var heller ingen EPS (Syntetisert Ekspandert Polystyrene) i emballasjen til 53% av Brauns produkter solgt i 2022.

The premium Braun dishwasher-safe attachments are engineered to survive 200 cycles in a continuous dishwasher program to guarantee function and visual appearance over the product's lifetime.

Processing of hard ingredients.

Braun's 500ml chopper is tested to chop/grate up to 500 kg of Parmesan.

In 1998, we bought a Braun Combimax 700 food processor. My wife likes to cook as a hobby, so it was used almost every day. And not just once or twice, but sometimes for more than 2 or 3 hours – with breaks of course! After about 10 years, we asked ourselves how much longer it could last. So in 2008 we bought a new food processor – a Braun Combimax 700 too, of course – in order to be prepared for when the original stopped working. But it kept working perfectly. Then, on September 25th 2014 (!!!), it finally gave up the ghost after 16 and a half years! Overall calculation: 198 months x 25 days.
