Té Blanco

Como apenas se procesa, el té blanco puede considerarse como una de las variedades de té más delicadas. El nombre se remonta a la cosecha que tiene lugar antes de que las hojas de las plantas de té se abran completamente, cuando los cogollos todavía están cubiertos por finos pelos blancos. Los cogollos y las hojas desplegadas se recogen a mano y deben secarse rápida y completamente para evitar la oxidación.

Té verde

Para conservar todo su aroma natural, las hojas de té verde, se calientan o cocinan al vapor justo después de haberse recogido. Esto previene que no se oxiden demasiado y produce una bebida suav y nutritiva.

Herbal teas are considered very popular but as they are not made of leaves of the tea plant, they actually are no “real teas”. Despite that, they stand for a great variety of flavours as they can be made from dried fruits, flowers, spices or herbs.

Oolong tea

Oolong tea is one of the youngest types of tea. It can be sorted somewhere between green and black tea as the tea leaves undergo partial oxidation. The processing of Oolong tea is one of the most time consuming and labor intensive.

Té Pu-Erh

Al té Pu-erh se le somete a un tipo de fermentación después de que las hojas se sequen. Es un té especial, ya que puede envejecer durante décadas o más y su sabor y aroma siguen desarrollándose.

Paso 2: Calidad del agua

La calidad del té depende de la calidad del agua. Si escoges preparar un té que tiene sabores sutiles como el té blanco o verde, la calidad del agua es crucial. Los estándares clave utilizados para juzgar el agua son la dureza, el total de sólidos disueltos (TDS) y el cloro. Para mejorar la calidad del agua, puedes invertir en sistemas de purificación de agua, como los filtros de carbón activo, que reducen las sustancias que afectan en el sabor, el olor o el aspecto del agua; el aroma individual del té será mejor y el color será más claro. Una opción alternativa al agua filtrada puede ser el agua embotellada.
