Een goed ontwerp mag dan wel duurzaam zijn, niet alles in onze wereld heeft deze eigenschap. Afval maakt deel uit van ons dagelijkse leven want op dit moment is verspilling makkelijk. Als het toestel niet goed werkt of het eten ziet er niet perfect uit, dan is weggooien of vervangen de eenvoudigste weg. Als veroudering deel uitmaakt van het alledaagse ontwerp, wordt het ook deel van het alledaagse leven. We weten dat de beslissingen die elke dag in ieders huis worden genomen, de wereld kunnen veranderen.

Daarom maken we bij Braun jouw beslissingen eenvoudiger.

80% van de impact van een product op het milieu wordt bepaald in de ontwerpfase

Dat is waarom het belangrijk is om een systematische benadering te hebben voor productontwikkeling volgens onze nieuwe Groepsrichtlijnen voor Eco-Design, een handleiding ontwikkeld in samenwerking met experts van de Politecnico di Milano die de basis legt voor strategische kennis van een nieuwe generatie van eco-efficiënte apparaten. Als een stap vooruit zal 70% van onze nieuw ontwikkelde producten vanaf 2023 gedekt worden door deze Eco-Design Richtlijn.

Minimalisatie

Energie- en materiaalverbruik, evenals materiaal toxiciteit en schadelijkheid, moeten geminimaliseerd worden.

Optimalisatie

De levensduur van producten en componenten en materiaalbehoud/vernieuwing moeten geoptimaliseerd worden.

Στη δεκαετία του '70 ο Dieter Rams ανέπτυξε την αξέχαστη σχεδιαστική γλώσσα της Braun και καθόρισε 10 αρχές καλού σχεδιασμού που εξακολουθούν να είναι επίκαιρες σήμερα. Ενώ αυτές οι αρχές ήταν μέρος του DNA μας από την αρχή, κοιτάμε πάντα το μέλλον.

Ο καλός σχεδιασμός είναι φιλικός προς το περιβάλλον

Στόχος μας είναι να χρησιμοποιήσουμε όσο το δυνατόν λιγότερους πόρους και εργαζόμαστε για την αύξηση της χρήσης υλικών στα προϊόντα μας που είτε είναι ανακυκλωμένα, είτε μπορούν να ανακυκλωθούν ή και τα δύο.

Προχωρώντας προς τα εμπρός, εργαζόμαστε για να έχουμε τουλάχιστον το 30% του ανακυκλωμένου πλαστικού σε σχέση με το συνολικό πλαστικό που χρησιμοποιείται σε πρόσφατα αναπτυγμένα/επόμενα προϊόντα, από το 2027 και μετά, σύμφωνα με τη δέσμευσή μας σχετικά με την ανακύκλωση υλικών.

Επιπλέον, έχουμε ήδη εξοικονομήσει περισσότερους από 100 τόνους χαρτιού μέσω της μερικής ψηφιοποίησης των εγχειριδίων οδηγιών χρήστη για προϊόντα που πουλήθηκαν παγκοσμίως το 2022. Επίσης δεν υπήρχε καθόλου EPS (συνθετικό διογκωμένο πολυστυρένιο) στη συσκευασία του 53% των προϊόντων της Braun που πουλήθηκαν το 2022.

In 1998, we bought a Braun Combimax 700 food processor. My wife likes to cook as a hobby, so it was used almost every day. And not just once or twice, but sometimes for more than 2 or 3 hours – with breaks of course! After about 10 years, we asked ourselves how much longer it could last. So in 2008 we bought a new food processor – a Braun Combimax 700 too, of course – in order to be prepared for when the original stopped working. But it kept working perfectly. Then, on September 25th 2014 (!!!), it finally gave up the ghost after 16 and a half years! Overall calculation: 198 months x 25 days.
